Food was very good. One of the best baked pasta dishes I've had in a while. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Serving sizes were very big, we both had to take about 1/3 to about half the food home, so it was a great deal for the price.

What a terrible experience, came in for lunch waited for over a hour to get a pizza. We ended up leaving because the bartender "Dakota" got such an attitude when I complained about his service.. It then took another 10 minutes for the staff to figure out how much we owed them for the drink.. Overall this "chain" has become such a "chilis" like place, I will not need to ever come back..

I visit this part of Utah once or twice a year and so I'm glad a Buca opened up. they have a nice parking lot so not a lot of issues with having to search around or park far away. This is a perfect spot for larger family dinners since the portions are large and intended to feed multiple people, even the small dishes. I came here recently for a family dinner and the family portions always work out great. Overall (in Los Angeles) Buca is a pretty good place to go and pretty reliable on what you're going to get. We got a couple of dishes we normally get back home but they were made differently. I don't know if the recipe's have been altered for the area or if it was just an off night in the kitchen but I have observed that the food in this area can be more mild in seasonings and flavors so... not sure and will have to check on a future visit. Lasagna - They didn't have this the day we visited? Its one of the regular dishes we order so was a bit bummed this was missing. Penne San Remo - We ordered this and it was okay. It seemed to be missing some of the flavors I'm used to and this is a pasta dish we order regularly. It was okay but seemed a bit drier than it usually it back home (has more sauce usually) and seemed like it was missing some spice? Baked Ziti - This was pretty good and was more like what I've had in the past. I thought our waiter and the staff did a great job of handling the dinning room. There were a lot of people during our visit, another large party nearby and our waiter and the team in general did a solid job, getting anything that people needed at the table, refills, just a solid experience. While the food missed a bit (not terrible) it was the service that made it work at the end. I appreciate them executing so well.

Waited for 5 minutes in the lobby and no one came out to seat us...wasn't going to wait to see if the food was any good with such lousy front service!

We had a company party here of like 25 people and they killed it. The service was fantastic and fun. Out waiter jumped right with us and made it really entertaining. We had an enjoyable night with great food and lots of laughter. Family style and large portions so come ready to eat!! The appetizers are delicious - you can't go wrong!

Not very impressed. The fettuccine dish we got was dry and the vegetables were obviously frozen at one point. And $35 for the large portion that serves 4. Although the Eggplant Parmesan was delightful!

This is a great Buca. Typical kooky Italian Decor, if you have a group of 8-10 call ahead and get the Round Pope room. Waitress was fun and attentive. Pizza was tasty and the Pasta was perfect. We all know that Buca is a franchise but this is a well run store. One of the better places in St George.

It's solid Italian, we really like manicotti. The portions are big! We have the kids share a kids meal cuz they can't finish one alone.

Just an ok place. If you are a drinker you will enjoy but don't order the overpriced soda! The my wife and I ordered the "large" meal that was supposed to feed 4 to 6 cause we wanted leftovers. It was a good thing I had a couple of pieces of pizza before we left cause it was only enough to feed 1 to 2 people if you are hungry at all! Great atmosphere and our service was awesome, but it didn't make up for the $60 I forked out for the bill and tip!

This was my first experience at this chain and we came for lunch. The servings are huge; small=3-4 people. We ordered a spaghetti and a main entree and had a lot of spaghetti left over. It was tasty. Decor is crazy but fun. Food was great. I'm not from St. George, but overhearing the next table it sounds like this restaurant is hard to get into at night.

I must have hit them on an off day. I love Italian food and I am always excited to add a new one to my list. Wait staff was friendly enough and attentive. My water and lemonade glasses were always full (5 stars for that). I ordered the mini meatball appetizer and upon the waiter's recommendation, the carbonara pasta. Wait for the food wasn't bad. When I got the mini meatballs ($11.99), I found they were about the size of a 50 cent piece and there were only 6 or 7 of them. Two bucks a mini meatball was pretty expensive. The were adequate, but blistering hot. I burned my mouth on them. The red sauce they came in was bland and lacking seasoning and spices, despite seeing actual bits of sliced garlic in the sauce. I tasted no garlic. The carbonara was a disappointment. Bland Alfredo sauce, burnt pancetta (I could smell the burnt smell when it was placed in front of me). Even after salt and pepper, it lacked any taste. My dog liked it however. Supremely disappointed. I've heard of this chain and have wanted to try it. I would stay away from this particular one.

For a genuine Italian dining experience, Buca is the place to go! There is another original and authentic Italian place in town called Picolo Mondo, but the difference is that there are larger portions at Buca and it is cheaper. The Italian creme soda is delicious and last time we, went we got some chicken cutlets glazed in marinara and pesto sauce--Amazing! The kids really liked the tomato bisque soup! It looks like Italy inside of the restaurant and they play Italian music; which are both fun! Overall this was a great family dining experience on more then one occasion.

Just opened in late August 2012 in a standalone building (former Ruby Tuesday's restaurant) within the Red Cliffs Mall perimeter. If you haven't been to a Buca di Beppo's before, all I'll say is that if you like Italian food, you should try the place, and be hungry plus bring hungry friends ("family-style" portions). I went there last Friday with a friend. Arriving at 4PM, there was no wait. Food was wonderful, usual Buca di Beppo interior, wait staff was very attentive. I love the place, and expect it'll do very well in St George. The ONLY annoying thing was that it seemed like every 10 minutes or so, someone would stop by our table & ask how we were doing -- our waitress, the busboy, another waitress, the manager... You want this to happen a couple times during your visit, but after about the third time, it actually tends to get rather annoying (my dining companion agreed). Each time, we were still eating, and still had plenty in our drinking glasses. I'd rather have them stop by too often than not often enough, and maybe part of it was because they'd only been open a few days & wanted to get a lot of feedback, but... When we left at about 5:30, there was quite a line of people waiting to be seated, as well as people just waiting to get in the door. I expect that'll be the case for quite a while during 'prime-time.'

We love the food at this chain and this new location was exactly like all the others which is a good thing. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because when you make a reservation with this company it's not a true reservation. It just means you are on the list for a certain time. Last Valentines Day I did this and ended up waiting in a SRO waiting room for 35 minutes. Great place for regular dinner. Horrible place for events or busy nights.

Just opened in st. George.. This is great family style Italian .. Much much better than Olive Garden... Really no comparison. We have eaten at buca in several different cities and states and it has always been awesome! Be prepared for giant servings!

Chicken Cannelloni - They charge for garlic bread! 6.99 for garlic bread offered as starter not revealing the cost till the ticket came! I have never been charged for measly garlic bread, and poorly at that. The food was very disappointing. Oregano overwhelmed the flavor of the chicken cannelloni. Expensive! The decor is not family friendly. Pictures of women with no cooth or decorum. A womans picture by the urinal in the bathroom showed part of her nipple!! A wall of pictures of catholic popes and catholic paraphernalia, just overdone. Looked like a shrine... Couldn't figure that out...

The Best Italian food in the entire area! We moved here from Newport Beach, California. General Manager Kelly, Assistant Manager Stan, Janessa and Will go out of their way for customers, and are extraordinarily caring! The former General Manager, Lindsey, who is great as well, is now at a Las Vegas location, thus, we are happy that Kelly is excellent as well! Scratch-made Marinara and Alfredo sauces, scratch-made mashed potatoes, meatballs, etc. Their Chicken Parmigiana, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Ravioli with Meat sauce, Chicken Saltimbocca, Chicken Glorioso, and Double Dark Chocolate Cake are all delicious! The portions are generous as well. We get to-go the majority of the time, and the order is always done correctly.

A little spendy, but I love their food. Good, dependable, consistent, Italian-American fare at it's best! I really like the atmosphere, and the deserts are outstanding if you remember to leave room! Even if you don't drink, try eating at the bar at least once. That can be alot of fun.

4 out of 5, huh? Authentic Italian cuisine, hmmm... I am doing my best to be fair with this place and the food they serve. This is not Italian food they serve (not at this location for sure). It is barely food I should say. I am not Italian but I know a thing or two about Italian cuisine. At least, because I've had better and cook myself, so I know bad food when I get some. Oh man, I wish we weren't that hungry. Stuff is nice, can't say anything bad about it. First of all, the very "kitchen" like smell greets you at the door... And no one else. Ordered "Linguine Frutti di Mare" to share. Let me be clear on that, I understand when necessary ingredients are pre-cooked at places like that and just sitting there to be ordered, combined, and warmed up. And I'm ok with that! But what I do expect is for that order to taste like a "whole dish", not some tasteless undercooked dried out pasta in some flavorless wash of a (not) spicy (barely) red (questionably) clam (so called) watery "sauce"! It could be called broth but don't you dare call that pasta sauce. Here goes your specialty pasta. Just to be on the safe side I ordered "Mule". You can go wrong with a poor quality wine, oh so often, you can even mess up sangria or a margarita! But I find it very difficult to mess up 3 ingredient-vodka-based cocktail. You guys managed. The only flavor that icy water had was lemon slice that I squeezed in. You own me my stomach comfort.

Buca di Beppo is pretty good Italian/American food. To me it demonstrates the excess of american diet in its massive serving sizes and incredibly unhealthy offerings. It belongs in the same vein as places such as applebees, chilis, etc. I do enjoy the food here, but its seldom that I choose to eat here. There isnt a lot of italian places in town, so its nice to have this at least.

I am super disappointed in your St. George location. We purchased gift cards from Costco to go to your restaurant and had a terrible experience. It was our first time there and we will NOT be returning. Because the kitchen didn't feel like making more sauce they had the waitress serve us food that had barely any sauce and she admitted this when we asked for more Alfredo sauce. They had to make it and it took about 10 mins making our Alfredo supreme cold. The salad was gross and wilting yet was still served to us. The lasagna was okay but nothing worth the prices your company charges. We were very disappointed. I guess our first indication something was wrong should have been that there were literally no other people in the restaurant.

This place puts Olive Garden to shame! Their food is soooo yummy! Our family of 5 can order a small salad and a large entrée, we get so full and still have a ton of leftovers! And the tiramisu is one of the best I have ever had...plus it is big enough to share with the whole table and still take some home too!

Hey, I love a good dish of Pasta. I wouldn't say that these guys 'specialize' in spaghetti...I would say that they are experts at some of the lesser know pasta times. Like...Stuffed Shells, Tortellini, Manicotti, etc. And when it comes to sauces...the dishes are superb! Great taste, great texture, great food.

Good food, great staff. We were in town for a doctor's appt for my daughter. We needed to get a bite to eat and needed 90 minutes to feed my daughter (she has a feeding tube). It was 5 on a Sunday afternoon, so the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. When we arrived, we let them know we needed a table with a little extra room to accommodate my daughter's wheelchair. No problem. We sat down and got situated, and our server Karly was out there to greet us and take our drink orders. We've been to Buca a number of times, but we decided to order what she recommended (baked rigatoni). This Buca has wifi which is a huge help for us. Since my daughter can't eat orally, we hate to eat in front of her. She also gets really antsy when she isn't stimulated. We were able to use the wifi to play a movie for her while we ate. We had a coupon to use, but we misplaced it. They said not to worry about and took the $10 off the check. We we there for close to two hours and had a great experience with the entire staff. Karly was amazing and the rest of the staff were super-friendly. When we left, we gave Karly our "Hugs For Hailey" business cards. She told us next time we're in the area to let her know. She said she'd help set us up with a room to stay while we're visiting the medical center. While I've enjoyed every Buca I've ever been to, the staff here makes this my favorite by far. If you'd like to follow Hailey's story, you can look us up at: hugsforhailey.blogspot.c… and facebook.com/HugsForHail…

It is like any other Buca I have been to, good for large family style and you can talk and be loud. This Buca a it different does not have all the decoration like the other I been in to. San Francisco Buca in Howard Street still my absolute favorite because the actual restaurant is in the basement and the decoration is so cool my fave room is the Pope room and the bar at the main floor An Americanized version of Italian food, the food only ok but most people get excited about the portion's. You have 2 kind of portion small and large and you have to be careful when you order, small portion will feed about 2-3 people and large about 6 people . The service at this location is ok ,they are very slow to bring the food. I ordered Sangria ,it took them 20 min to bring glass and I had to ask few times when they going to bring it Lots of parking not to worry where you going to park

Buca is awesome! The food is amazing! I know they make everything fresh in house, even the sauces! None of the frozen microwaved crap like Olive Garden. I hosted a work party in their wine room. We worked with their Sales Coordinator to set up the party and he was so helpful. When we got there, the management greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend Buca di Beppo to anyone having a holiday party.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
